About the role
We're looking for a technically strong Full Stack Web Developer with a backend and infrastructure focus to join our team. You'll work across multiple retail brands and platforms, maintaining and improving our web applications and backend systems, ensuring they are secure, performant, and scalable.
- Develop, maintain, and optimize backend applications using PHP, Laravel, and Magento.
- Manage and configure Linux (EC2) environments including Apache, PHP, and MySQL.
- Implement automation and system monitoring through bash or Perl scripting.
- Deploy and manage cloud infrastructure on AWS (EC2, RDS, CloudFront, S3).
- Maintain and optimize CDN and caching layers (Cloudflare / CloudFront).
- Integrate and maintain Shopify custom themes or private apps when required.
- Collaborate with the frontend team on UI integration and JavaScript-based enhancements.
- Troubleshoot performance and security issues across application and server layers.
- Participate in version control and CI/CD processes (Git, GitHub Actions, etc.).
About you
To succeed in this role, you’ll bring:
- 3+ years of professional experience in web development.
- Strong proficiency in PHP, including Laravel and Magento frameworks.
- Solid experience managing Linux (Debian/CentOS) environments and Apache/Nginx web servers.
- Hands-on experience with MySQL (query optimization, indexing, backups).
- Good understanding of AWS infrastructure (EC2, CloudFront, RDS, S3).
- Familiarity with Cloudflare configuration and performance tuning.
- Experience with shell scripting (bash, Perl).
- Basic understanding of JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and frontend integration workflows.
Great if you have
- Experience with Shopify app or theme development.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Bitbucket Pipelines, Jenkins).
- Knowledge of Docker or container-based deployment.
- Understanding of API development and integration (REST/GraphQL).
- Exposure to monitoring tools (CloudWatch, Netdata, etc.).
