STOREKEEPER / ASSISTANT STOREKEEPER

REQUIREMENTS

  • G.C.E. Advanced Level qualification or equivalent
  • Certificate / Diploma in Store Management, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field will be an added advantage
  • Minimum 1–4 years of experience in storekeeping, inventory control, or a similar role
  • Knowledge of inventory management and storekeeping procedures
  • Ability to maintain accurate stock records and documentation
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications (ERP/SAP knowledge will be an added advantage)
  • Good organizational, analytical, and record-keeping skills
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Fluency in English and Sinhala; Tamil will be an added advantage

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Receive, inspect, store, and issue materials and supplies efficiently
  • Maintain accurate records of stock receipts, issues, balances, and inventory movements
  • Verify incoming materials against purchase orders, delivery notes, and GRNs
  • Monitor stock levels and report shortages, damaged items, and discrepancies
  • Conduct regular stock counts and inventory reconciliations
  • Ensure proper labeling, storage, and preservation of materials
  • Prepare stock reports, inventory records, and store-related documentation
  • Coordinate with procurement, warehouse, and operational teams to ensure smooth material flow
  • Maintain cleanliness, safety, and organization within the store premises
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and store management procedures
  • Support overall store operations and administrative activities as required
