Overview Of The Role
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Safety Officer to join our factory operations. The role is responsible for ensuring a safe working environment by identifying potential hazards, enforcing safety standards, and driving continuous improvement in workplace safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and assess workplace hazards and implement effective control measures
- Conduct regular safety inspections and ensure compliance with safety and environmental policies
- Supervise high-risk operations, temporary work areas, and handling of hazardous materials
- Investigate workplace incidents and recommend corrective actions
- Drive improvements in safety practices, provide necessary awareness for staff
Qualifications & Skills
- Diploma/Degree in Occupational Health & Safety or a related field
- 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment (tyre/rubber industry preferred)
- Professional safety certification (NEBOSH/IOSH) will be an added advantage
- Strong knowledge of risk assessment and safety regulations
