We are a sterile Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Company looking for a young energetic individual with pristine qualifications and experience to take the lead in the following position. The project is at the development stage and is located in BOI, Export Processing Zone, Koggala.
MECHANICAL TECHNICIAN
Roles and Responsibilities
- Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance of mechanical systems such as Production/ Lab equipment, HVAC, AHUs, pumps, compressors, boilers, chillers, and production machinery.
- Troubleshoot mechanical breakdowns on the shop floor and perform immediate repairs to minimize downtime.
- Assist in the installation, calibration, and alignment of new equipment and mechanical components.
- Maintain documentation of all maintenance activities as per GMP requirements (e.g., logbooks, calibration records).
- Maintain equipment logbooks, maintenance checklists, and breakdown records as per GMP guidelines.
- Monitor and maintain utilities such as compressed air, purified water, and steam pipelines
- Assist in planning and execution of engineering projects including equipment installation and upgrades.
Qualifications & Requirement
- Diploma, NVQ 4 or 5 in Mechanical Engineering
- 5+ years of experience in mechanical maintenance within the pharmaceutical or regulated industry
- Knowledge of GMP, cleanroom practices, utility equipment, basic mechanical tools and systems
- Basic knowledge of MS Office, Autocad preferred
