Microbiologist
Location: Kuliyapitiya
Responsibilities
- Maintain good laboratory conditions and ensure proper hygiene and safety standards.
- Conduct microbiological sampling and analysis of raw materials, packing materials and finished products.
- Perform swab sampling and analysis relevant to the process line.
- Carry out process validation based on microbiological analysis results.
- Prepare, record and maintain accurate laboratory documentation and reports.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams regarding microbiological findings and corrective actions.
- Support quality and food safety initiatives in compliance with company standards and regulations.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a relevant field.
- BSc Degree in Microbiology, Food Science, Food Technology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of microbiological sampling practices and analytical techniques, including media preparation and streaking methods.
- Ability to make decisions based on microbiological analysis and results.
- Good documentation and record-keeping practices.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
