Assistant Manager – Production
Dilmah is looking for a dynamic and results-oriented Assistant Manager – Production to support manufacturing operations and drive continuous improvement initiatives within the Production function. The ideal candidate should possess strong technical and analytical capabilities with experience in manufacturing operations, process improvement and operational excellence, together with the ability to work effectively across multiple stakeholders.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support daily production operations to achieve safety, quality, productivity and efficiency targets.
- Monitor production performance, analyze data and implement improvement initiatives.
- Drive Lean Manufacturing and Operational Excellence projects to reduce waste and optimize processes.
- Utilize Power BI and ERP systems for KPI monitoring, reporting and data-driven decision-making.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve plant performance and resolve operational challenges.
- Assist in developing SOPs and maintaining compliance with company standards.
REQUIREMENTS
- Degree in Engineering, Food Science, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or a related field.
- 4–5 years of experience in manufacturing, preferably within FMCG or process industries.
- Strong knowledge of Power BI, ERP systems, Lean Manufacturing, and Continuous Improvement methodologies.
- Exposure to industrial engineering, process optimization, and production performance management.
- Professional qualifications such as MBA, CIMA, or Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt/ Black Belt) certification will be advantageous.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication and project management skills.
