Risk & Compliance Officer

MBSL Insurance is seeking a capable and disciplined professional to join the organization as a Risk & Compliance Officer.

Role Overview

The selected candidate will support the implementation and monitoring of the Company’s Risk Management and Compliance Frameworks, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements while promoting a culture of integrity, accountability, and risk awareness across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in implementing and maintaining the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) and Compliance frameworks.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements, including IRCSL guidelines and AML/CFT regulations.
  • Assess and monitor key risks while supporting timely risk and compliance reporting to management and regulators.
  • Conduct compliance reviews and assist in internal audits and investigations.
  • Liaise with regulators, auditors, and internal stakeholders on compliance-related matters.
  • Promote awareness of compliance policies, procedures, and ethical standards within the organization.

Candidate Profile

  • Academic and/or professional qualification in Finance / Law / Insurance / Risk / Compliance or a related discipline is a must from a recognized University and/or industry recognized professional intuition.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in an equivalent field, with at least 2 years of relevant executive experience in Risk, Compliance, Audit, or related roles (ideally in Insurance/Financial Services).
  • Sound practical & theoretical knowledge of regulatory requirements, AML/CFT, and governance frameworks.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • High level of integrity, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.
