ASSISTANT MANAGER COMPLIANCE

Required Qualifications

  • A degree or professional qualification in Banking or Compliance
  • Minimum 3 years of banking experience where at least 1-2 years should be in compliance, risk or audit functions.
  • Good knowledge in MS Excel
  • A team player with a positive attitude, good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to take initiative and work independently with minimum supervision
  • Strong analytical and interpretational skills.
  • Audit firm experience in a reputed firm will be considered an added advantage.

The Job

  • Conduct regulatory compliance reviews as assigned, and prepare structured reports outlining observations, regulatory gaps, and recommendations for corrective actions or process improvements.
  • Keep abreast new regulations, amendments to existing laws, regulations, and directions, and provide timely feedback to management on regulatory impact, required policy changes, and process enhancements.
  • Support the Bank in ensuring ongoing compliance with applicable statutory and regulatory requirements across business, operational, and support functions.
  • Ensure timely, accurate, and clear dissemination of newly issued regulatory requirements, circulars, and supervisory instructions to relevant business and operational teams.
  • Monitor the preparation and submission of regulatory returns and reports across the Bank on both periodic and ad-hoc bases, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and adherence to regulatory timelines.
  • Conduct compliance reviews to assess the regulatory compliance status of the Bank’s group companies and subsidiaries, and report findings with recommended actions.
  • An understanding of foreign exchange regulations and regulatory reporting will be considered an added advantage.
