Senior Engineer - Utilities
Location: Gampaha District
Our client, a well-established company, engaged in manufacturing a range of FMCG food & Beverage products for export and local markets. An opportunity awaits a Result oriented, Self-motivated team player who desires to build a successful career in a Manufacturing Company in the Export industry.
This role exists in their Food Processing plant which is operated 24 hours and 365 days. Their factories are equipped with “state of the Art” Food processing machines & utility machineries such as Ice Bank, Chillers, Compressor, and Air Compressor etc. The selected candidate, as an experienced Engineering professional will ensure undisturbed functioning of utilities and thereby ensure plant availability.
The incumbent should be a Team Player with excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate confidently and persuasively with a wide variety of people at senior levels.
KEY JOB FUNCTIONS
Maintaining undermentioned Utilities.
- Steam generation and distribution (Bio Mass and HFO), Ice Bank, Refrigeration system (Ammonia) including Screw and reciprocating compressor, Compressed air generation (Oil Free and Oil injection compressors), Drinking water distribution system, Effluent Treatment plant (Anaerobic and Aerobic) and related treatment method and norms, maintain Fire protection system, Diesel Generators and cooling towers.
- Manage utility costing and make improvements to reduce utility cost/energy reporting.
The ideal candidate should have the following prerequisites
- B.Sc. degree in Engineering from a recognized university.
- Minimum 8 - 10 years of working experience as a Utility Engineer in manufacturing industries.
- In depth knowledge in operational aspects of all utilities such as steam/refrigeration (including Ammonia) / Compressed air/Effluent treatment/Potable water.
- Strong leadership qualities/ people handling skills / Result oriented person.
- Knowledge on aspects of ISO/OHSAS/Environment.
