SENIOR EXECUTIVE - ENGINEERING SERVICES
Ceylon Cold Stores PLC (CCS), manufacturer of Elephant House Soft Drinks and Ice Creams is a leading consumer food company in Sri Lanka. CCS is a subsidiary of John Keells Holdings PLC.
The company is seeking a suitable candidate to fill the position of Senior Executive - Engineering Services. The position exists for effective management of Engineering services within statutory and organizational guidelines with the objective of ensuring efficient and safe functioning of Engineering services related activities, running, routine and preventive maintenance. Maintaining engineering services related raw material and engineering spares to obtain uninterrupted operation at the premises. Provide technical expertise, operational support and service delivery across all the plant maintenance and engineering projects.
The selected candidates will be responsible for:
- Maintenance of utility machineries and uninterrupted services to the production plants.
- Monitoring and maintaining equipment, machineries and other engineering services in optimal condition to obtain maximum productivity of the ICF and SDF production process.
- Effective management of the engineering workshop team, roster duty team, stores team and engineering related raw material handling. Capex and Rn U to be managed within the approved budget.
- Responsible for maintaining applicable ISO requirements related to QMS, FSMS, EMS and OHSMS in respective areas. Zero major nonconformities at the audits. Ensure delivery of engineering services that strictly adhere to organizational, industry and regulatory compliance standards.
- Prepare and maintain technical reports, service records, annual forecast, mid year reviews of Capex and Rn U and compliance documentation. Identify opportunities to enhance processes, tools, and service quality.
Required qualifications and skills:
- Degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering with 1-2 years’ experience in similar capacity in a FMCG industry.
- Business Understanding in Trade Practices in a Factory environment/FMCG industry.
- Sound knowledge in Running and Preventive maintenance of Utility machineries, Project Management, Preparation of BOQ and Engineering drawings.
- Safe operation of Equipment's and safety of the employees / Manufacturing facilities.
- Excellent Interpersonal, Communication and Motivational Skills.
- Strong commitment to customer satisfaction.
- Able to respond promptly, follow up effectively, and timely attending to the relevant task.
- Ability to work long hours.
- Strong decision-making ability.
