Accountant
Leader Kaijie Battery (Pvt) Ltd – Leader Group
Location: Pokunuwita, Horana
Leader Kaijie Battery (Pvt) Ltd, a National and International award-winning company, is Sri Lanka’s leading local battery manufacturer with ISO 9001:2015 certification and advanced global technology.
Leader Group is the only battery manufacturing company in Sri Lanka operating its own nationwide retail network, with 50+ company-owned outlets across the country, alongside a strong manufacturing and distribution operation.
As part of our continued expansion, we are looking for a dynamic Accountant to strengthen financial and operational controls across our manufacturing and retail operations.
Responsibilities
- Preparation of management accounts and other financial reports in line with the accounting standards and internal reporting requirements, ensuring the accuracy and the completeness.
- Preparation and analysis of financial statements including variance analysis and interpretation of key financial results.
- Operationally driving the corporate budgetary process and marinating budgetary controls across the business.
- Ensuring the completeness of the GL and maintaining other system modules under Finance control.
- Ensuring the corporate tax compliance of the company and handling all the operational tax matters.
- Maintaining accurate costing records/ profitability statements and improving the cost management processes continuously.
- Review the bank reconciliations on a timely basis.
- Ensure timely accurate and complete processing of all transactions and keeping records.
- Support cost saving initiatives across departments.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in commerce, business management, economics or finance with a part professional qualification (CA/CIMA/ACCA).
- Minimum 3-4 years of relevant experience in a similar role within a dynamic or diversified organization.
- Experience in costing in a manufacturing environment will be an added advantage.
- Proficiency in advanced excel and accounting systems
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with proactive attitude and willingness to learn and grow.
