DORMITORY WARDEN

Sri Lanka Cricket is seeking a responsible, disciplined, and caring Female Dormitory Warden (Residential) to supervise and manage women’s player accommodation facility located at P. Saravanamuttu International Cricket Stadium (P.Sara). The successful candidate will be required to reside within the dormitory premises and ensure a safe, structured, and supportive living environment for all residents.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and manage the day-to-day operations of the women’s player residential facility on a live-in basis
  • Ensure safety, discipline, and adherence to residential rules, safeguarding standards, and organizational policies
  • Provide continuous supervision, guidance, and pastoral care to resident players
  • Maintain a structured, respectful, and supportive living environment conducive to athlete development and well-being
  • Monitor entry, exit, attendance, and movement of residents in accordance with established procedures
  • Act as the first point of contact for player welfare matters, concerns, and emergencies
  • Enforce curfews, schedules, and residential regulations as required
  • Coordinate with management regarding maintenance, housekeeping, and facility requirements
  • Maintain accurate records including attendance logs, incident reports, and daily administrative records
  • Liaise with coaches, team management, and authorized personnel on welfare and residential matters
  • Respond promptly to emergencies and escalate issues where necessary
  • Ensure safeguarding and duty-of-care standards are strictly followed at all times

Qualifications & Experience

  • G.C.E. Advanced Level (A/L) or equivalent qualification
  • Qualification in Education, Social Work, Psychology, Sports Management, or related field will be an advantage
  • Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in hostel management, residential supervision, education, or related field
  • Experience working with young athletes, students, or residential communities will be an advantage
  • Prior experience in sports academies, boarding schools, or high-performance environments will be preferred
