JourneyScapes is a leading Destination Management Company (DMC) and resort operator in Sri Lanka working with international travel partners to deliver curated travel experiences across the island. We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Marketing & Business Development Coordinator to support our marketing, trade communication, and business development activities. This role is suited to someone who is highly organized, commercially aware, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, international-facing environment.
MARKETING & BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT COORDINATOR
ROLE OVERVIEW
The successful candidate will play a key supporting role across marketing and business development functions, with a focus on trade communications, email marketing, research, and coordination of outreach activities.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support execution of email marketing and travel trade communications.
- Research and maintain databases of travel agents, tour operators, and industry partners.
- Assist in structured outreach campaigns and follow-ups.
- Support digital marketing activities including social media scheduling.
- Conduct competitor and market research to support commercial decisions.
- Assist in preparing reports on campaigns and partner engagement.
- Coordinate marketing and business development activities across teams.
REQUIREMENTS
- Excellent written and spoken English.
- Strong organizational, research, and analytical skills.
- High attention to detail and professional communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office / Google Workspace.
- Basic knowledge of Adobe Photoshop or design tools.
- Familiarity with email marketing tools is an advantage.
- Prior experience in tourism, hospitality, marketing, or business development preferred.
