COMPANY BACKGROUND

All garments are manufactured within Grace Lanka Apparels (Pvt) Ltd, situated in Noel Mendis Mawatha, Modarawila Industrial Zone, Panadura and is comprehensively managed by our own professional teams.
Position
Assistant Accountant / Senior Accounts Executive ( Panadura )
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparation of management reports as and when needed.
- Assist in preparation of Monthly / Quarterly / Annual financial statements.
- Preparation of schedules and reconciliation for financial statements.
- Preparation of schedules and workings for weekly / monthly / annual budgets.
- Preparation of monthly / quarterly / annual tax returns.
- Preparation of monthly bank reconciliations.
- Handling the shipments and import related documentations & LC’s with the Banks and clearing agents.
- Handling costing and variance analysis.
- Maintain the office files and documents in a proper manner.
- Collaborative work with the inter departmental staff members.
Qualifications:
- Part Qualification from recognized professional body such as CASL/ CMASL/CIMA/AATSL or degree in Accounting / Finance / Management from a recognized University.
- Age below 35 years of age.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a mercantile company with the similar capacity.
- Experience in a Garment manufacturing company is an added advantage.
- Good command in English.
- Sound knowledge about the taxation such as VAT / APIT/Stamp Duty / SSCL and Income tax.
- Computer literacy with sound knowledge in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems. (Hands on experience in Microsoft Dynamics NAV ERP system would be an added advantage).
- Excellent communication skills along with good interpersonal skills with the right attitude and personality.
- Residing close approximately to the Panadura / Moratuwa / Ratmalana areas will be advantageous.
- Excellent knowledge about the SLFRS, LKAS and auditing.
