Calling for application: "Consultant for its Grassroots Grant Projects (GGP)" at the Embassy of Japan
1. Required Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Development Study or related fields. A Master’s Degree is preferable.
- A minimum of three years’ work experience in development sector.
- Working experiences in project management consultants
- Working experiences in donor agencies will be added qualifications.
- Field experiences are additional assets.
- Excellent skills in report writing, time management, and field monitoring.
- Excellent interpersonal skills are required. The ability to build good relationships with NGOs and relevant Government officials is essential.
- Advanced English writing and speaking skill is mandatory. Fluency in Sinhala and/or Tamil required.
- Computer literacy (Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook).
2. Term and Salary
- Contract is from September 2026 to August 2027 (the contract may be extended for one or two years by mutual consent).
- Salary will be offered based on the qualifications and experiences of the applicant.
- While the position is Colombo based, it is expected to travel across the country occasionally to follow up/formulate the projects.
