TRAINEE - QUANTITY SURVEYOR
INTERNSHIP DURATION : 06 MONTHS
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist in quantity take-offs and preparation of Bills of Quantities (BOQs)
- Support the preparation of cost estimates and project budgets
- Assist in tender documentation, bid evaluations, and subcontractor comparisons
- Maintain and update project cost records and documentation
- Coordinate with site teams to track project progress and material usage
- Assist in the preparation of interim valuations and final accounts
- Support in verifying contractor and supplier invoices
- Perform general administrative and reporting tasks related to QS functions
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- NVQ Level 4 qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related field
- Basic understanding of construction processes, materials, and costing methods
- Familiarity with measurements, BOQs (Bills of Quantities), and tender documentation
- Proficiency in MS Excel and basic computer applications
- Strong numerical, analytical, and attention-to-detail skills
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced construction environment
