We Are Hiring: Restaurant Manager and Wait Staff
For over two decades, Surf & Sun has catered to travellers seeking holistic experiences, active lifestyles, and authentic local encounters prioritising sustainable eco tourism. Our commitment to this ethos has led us to expand our operations to include a farm, following regenerative agricultural practices, allowing us to provide farm-to-table produce directly to our guests.
We are currently searching for a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to manage our in-house restaurant and guest relations for our growing eco-project in the heart of Arugam Bay.
In this role, you will oversee daily front-of-house and back-of-house operations. You will be responsible for staff recruitment, training, scheduling, financial budgeting, resolving issues and maintaining compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations. Your ultimate goal is to maximize profitability while ensuring a high-quality guest experience.
Restaurant Manager Profile
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in English and Sinhala. Tamil is a plus
- Strong knowledge of restaurant standards and hygiene
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in financial handling and POS systems
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to take on a leadership role & multitask
Wait Staff Profile
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in English and Sinhala. Tamil is a plus
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Multitask
