About NORVI Controllers
NORVI Controllers designs and manufactures industrial IoT hardware that is exported to Europe and North America. Our products are used in real automation projects — VFD monitoring, remote SCADA, process control, and condition monitoring — by engineers and integrators globally. We are CE/EMC/RED certified and have been shipping internationally since 2014.
We are a team of 25 based in Midigama, Weligama. Our customers are engineers and technical buyers in Europe and the US, and they expect fast, knowledgeable responses. That's where you come in.
The Role
We are hiring a Sales & Customer Success Engineer to own our customer-facing sales process — from first inquiry to closed order. This is not a cold-calling role. Our customers come to us through our website, LinkedIn, and distributor referrals. Your job is to respond fast, qualify the requirement, send the right quote, and follow up until the order is placed.
You will handle standard product inquiries and quotations independently. Complex OEM or custom requests get escalated to our Director. You will be the face of NORVI for the majority of our inbound customers.
What You Will Do
- Respond to all inbound customer inquiries within 2 hours during working hours — email, website contact form, and LinkedIn
- Qualify customer requirements and recommend the right NORVI product from our standard range
- Prepare and send quotations using standard pricing templates
- Follow up on open quotes, evaluation units, and trial orders — systematically, not reactively
- Manage the active sales pipeline and keep CRM records updated with deal status and next actions
- Provide pre-sales technical support for standard NORVI products — Modbus RTU, I/O specifications, wiring, power requirements
- Coordinate with the operations team on order acknowledgements, lead times, and shipping updates to customers
- Attend key trade fairs and customer calls when required
- Escalate large accounts, OEM opportunities, and complex technical requirements to the Director
What We Are Looking For
- Degree or HND in Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline
- 1–3 years of experience in technical sales, pre-sales support, or customer-facing engineering
- Solid understanding of industrial automation concepts — PLC, Modbus, SCADA, IoT, industrial sensors
- Excellent written English — most of your customer communication is email with European and North American engineers
- Self-driven and organised — you manage your own pipeline and do not need to be reminded to follow up
- Professional, confident communication style that reflects well on the NORVI brand
- Experience with CRM tools or structured sales pipelines is an advantage
What We Offer
- Base salary: LKR 80,000–130,000/month based on experience
- Commission structure on closed orders (2–4%) — high earning potential as the pipeline grows
- Permanent position with EPF/ETF
- Direct exposure to international B2B sales with European and North American customers

- Clear growth path into a Senior Sales Engineer or Sales Manager role
Location
Our facility is in Midigama, Weligama (Southern Province). This role can be structured as facility-based with some remote flexibility for the right candidate. Candidates from the Galle–Matara corridor are strongly preferred.
