SENIOR FINANCE MANAGER

We are a leading Passenger and Cargo GSA company and seeking for a Senior Finance Manager to Head the Group company Finance and Accounting divisions for its offices in Colombo, Sri Lanka. The role is broad based, and the incumbent should possess hands on experience in budgetary controls, financial & tax planning, cash flow & treasury management, MIS through computerised accounting environment, monitoring of performance and overall supervision of finance and accounting functions. As the job involves contacts at various levels, excellent communication and interpersonal skills is vital. However, flexibility to work longer hours may be required on occasions.
Duties include:
- Preparation of monthly management accounts
- Maintenance of General Ledger
- Maintenance of Fixed Assets Register
- Reconciliation of Balance sheet accounts and Bank accounts
- Liaising with company bankers, auditors and company secretaries
- Preparation of Quarterly/annual budgets and cash flow forecasts
- Preparation and filing of VAT/SSCL and all other Tax returns with IRD
- Preparation of other accounting statements and reports as required by Head office
Ideally you should have completed a degree in B.com, Financial management or Accounting and fully qualified in CIMA/CA or ACCA or an equivalent professional qualification. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 3-5 years' experience in similar capacity and any experience in a similar role in the industry is highly regarded and will be of distinct advantage. You will have strong communication skills, effective time management skills and work independently with minimal supervision in a team environment. You will be confident at using ERP systems and Microsoft 365. It is essential that you have a high concern for the quality and standard of your work and believe in taking responsibility for what you do.
