HR EXECUTIVE
Colombo 03 | Full-Time | Corporate Office
JOB OVERVIEW
The HR Executive is responsible for supporting and executing core human resource functions, including employee recruitment, onboarding, payroll administration, employee records management, statutory compliance, labour department registrations, and general HR operations. The role ensures compliance with company policies and applicable labour laws while contributing to an efficient and productive workplace.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- 1. RECRUITMENT & SELECTION
- Coordinate end-to-end recruitment activities.
- Prepare and post job advertisements on recruitment platforms and social media.
- Screen applications and shortlist suitable candidates.
- Schedule and coordinate interviews with hiring managers.
- Conduct reference checks and assist in candidate evaluations.
- Prepare offer letters and employment contracts.
- Support employee onboarding and induction programs.
- 2. LABOUR DEPARTMENT & STATUTORY COMPLIANCE
- Handle employee registration and updates through the Labour Department online systems, including AH registration and related statutory requirements.
- Maintain statutory files and records for audits and inspections.
- 3. PAYROLL ADMINISTRATION
- Process monthly payroll accurately and within deadlines.
- Prepare payroll reports and salary summaries.
- Resolve payroll-related inquiries from employees.
- Maintain confidentiality of payroll information.
- 4. EMPLOYEE DOCUMENTATION & RECORDS MANAGEMENT
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee personnel files.
- Prepare employment letters, confirmation letters, transfer letters, and other HR documents.
- Ensure proper filing and secure storage of employee records.
- Update employee databases and HR information systems.
- 5. EMPLOYEE RELATIONS & HR OPERATIONS
- Assist in implementing HR policies and procedures.
- Support employee engagement and welfare initiatives.
- Assist in disciplinary procedures and grievance handling.
- Coordinate training and development activities.
- Support performance management processes.
- 6. ADMINISTRATIVE & REPORTING DUTIES
- Generate HR reports and management information as required.
- Support departmental projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Perform other HR and administrative duties assigned by management.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Professional HR qualification will be an added advantage.
EXPERIENCE
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Human Resources.
- Experience in recruitment, payroll administration, and HR documentation.
- Experience handling Labour Department online registrations and statutory compliance is preferred.
