The Job:

  • Maintain the Accounts Receivable ledger by accurately allocating payments, reconciling customer accounts, and resolving payment discrepancies.
  • Execute end-to-end collections activities through phone calls, emails, and formal demand letters to ensure timely recovery of outstanding payments.
  • Drive timely collections and manage credit risk to support healthy cash flow.
  • Perform credit checks and recommend appropriate credit limits for new and existing clients.
  • Prepare and analyze aged debt reports, monitor collection performance, and provide cash flow commentary.
  • Collaborate with Sales and Customer Service teams to examine and resolve customer disputes while ensuring adherence to company policies.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related discipline, and/or a recognized professional qualification such as CA Sri Lanka, CIMA, ACCA, CMA, or AAT.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Credit Control, Accounts Receivable (AR), Collections, or a similar finance function.
  • Strong working knowledge of Accounts Receivable processes, including invoicing, collections, customer account reconciliations, and cash allocation.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and Accounts Receivable modules, with advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting.
  • Sound understanding of commercial credit management, debt recovery practices, and relevant regulatory and privacy requirements.
  • Customer-focused approach with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
