Job Description
LOCATION: EMBILIPITIYA
Head Office (with regular site visits to factories, estate, hotel, etc.)
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conduct independent audits across all group entities – manufacturing, hospitality, agriculture.
- Evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls and risk management processes.
- Ensure compliance with internal rules, procedures, and applicable statutory requirements.
- Review financial records, inventory management, payroll, procurement, and operational workflows.
- Identify areas of inefficiencies, fraud risks, or policy non-compliance and recommend corrective actions.
- Prepare detailed audit reports with practical recommendations for Top management.
- Follow up on implementation of audit findings and monitor continuous improvement.
- Assess the effectiveness of internal policies and assist in policy development if necessary.
REQUIREMENT:
- Professional Qualifications: Partially qualified in CA Sri Lanka / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent and bachelor of degree will be an added advantage.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in internal or external auditing, preferably in a manufacturing organization.
- Strong knowledge of internal controls, risk management, audit procedures, and compliance standards.
- Exposure to manufacturing, logistics, agriculture, or hospitality sectors will be a strong advantage.
- Sound understanding of ERP/accounting systems and MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Excellent analytical, report-writing, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to travel regularly to sites across the island.
