SONEVA JANI MALDIVES
Soneva Jani is nestled within the tranquil waters of the Noonu Atoll, where sun-drenched blue skies and azure seas stretch out in every direction. One of the world’s lowest density resorts, there are just 51 over-water and three island residences, the largest and most luxurious villas in the Maldives.
We are looking for a Sommelier to join Soneva Jani Resort.
Requirements and Skills:
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a similar role in a luxury resort or hotel.
- Excellent communication skills (written and spoken); knowledge of European languages such as Russian, German, French, Spanish or Italian will be an advantage.
- WSET advanced certificate and Court of Master Sommelier certification or equivalent qualification preferred.
- Ability to give appropriate wine recommendations.
- Upkeep and Maintenance of a wine cellar (approximately 3000+ bottles)
- Ability to recognize good wines from different regions and give recommendations for purchase and collection purposes.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact with guests from all nationalities.
- Energetic with a positive personality and a can-do attitude.
