Chef De Partie (Hot Kitchen)

Role Overview
As the Chef De Partie (Hot Range), you will support daily kitchen operations by ensuring high standards of food quality, presentation, hygiene, and safety across all hot range preparations. You will also supervise food preparation and buffet setups, guide kitchen team members, and help maintain efficient stock control and smooth kitchen operations at all times.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Executive Chef/Sous Chef in daily kitchen operations and team supervision.
- Ensure high standards of food quality, presentation, hygiene, and food safety compliance.
- Supervise food preparation and buffet setups, ensuring consistency and accuracy of recipes.
- Maintain stock control, inventory, requisitions, stock rotation, storage, and quality control procedures.
- Train, guide, and evaluate junior kitchen team members.
- Maintain kitchen equipment, cleanliness, and health & safety standards.
- Assist with staff scheduling, performance monitoring, and operational planning to ensure smooth running of kitchen operations.
- Promote cost control, efficient resource utilization, and adequate stock availability.
- Develop and implement food preparation standards and procedures to maximize guest satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Diploma in Hotel Management or Culinary Arts from a recognised catering and hotel management institute.
- 5–6 years of experience as a Demi Chef de Partie (DCDP) in a star-class hotel or resort.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Computer literacy with basic operational and administrative knowledge.
- Good leadership and team supervision abilities.
- Knowledge of food safety, hygiene, health & safety, and ISO standards.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.
