The Role
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Civil Engineer to join our Engineering team. This role will support the planning, execution, maintenance, and monitoring of civil engineering projects and infrastructure across our manufacturing facilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical foundation and a willingness to learn and grow within a dynamic industrial environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the planning, design, and execution of civil works, including buildings, utility structures, internal roads, drainage systems, and storage facilities.
- Support the supervision and monitoring of construction and maintenance activities to ensure quality, safety, and compliance with specifications.
- Conduct site inspections, surveys, and measurements to support project execution and maintenance activities.
- Assist in preparing Bills of Quantities (BOQs), cost estimates, project documentation, and reports.
- Monitor project progress and support the timely completion of projects within approved budgets.
- Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and internal departments to ensure smooth project implementation.
- Maintain engineering drawings, records, and technical documentation.
- Provide support in identifying infrastructure improvements and maintenance requirements.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and company standards.
- Assist in implementing preventive maintenance programs for factory infrastructure and facilities.
What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or NDT/HNDE/NDES qualification in Civil Engineering.
- Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office applications.
- Basic knowledge of Quantity Surveying and construction practices.
- Knowledge of Total Station (TS) and leveling instruments will be an added advantage.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to learn, take initiative, and work in a manufacturing environment.
