ASSISTANT MANAGER – DIGITAL DIRECT BUSINESS

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Drive sales growth of existing Sri Lanka Insurance products through the Customer Web Portal.
  • Identify, recommend, and onboard new digital products to expand the online product portfolio.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing Department to develop and implement digital marketing campaigns that attract target audiences and increase online conversions.
  • Work closely with the IT Department to introduce additional products, enhance portal functionality, and improve service availability on the Customer Web Portal.
  • Establish and manage digital partnerships with Government Institutions to promote products through online channels.
  • Analyze market trends, customer behaviour, and performance metrics to drive continuous improvements in the digital direct channel.
  • Lead digital transformation initiatives related to the Customer Web Portal, including obtaining approvals for system enhancements, coordinating UI/UX improvements, and overseeing User Acceptance Testing (UAT) prior to go-live.

Qualifications & Prerequisites

  • Masters Degree / Post Graduate Diploma / Degree / Professional Qualification or Equivalent in Insurance, Marketing, or Business Management from a University/Institute approved by the UGC.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a relevant field at Executive grade.
  • Leadership experience in sales channels and stakeholder partnerships, preferably in public-private or SME sectors; would be an added advantage.
  • Proficiency in digital transformation and IT project coordination.
  • Knowledge of digital tools such as mobile apps, CRM systems, and distribution portals.
  • Strong capability in UI design and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
  • Strong business analysis skills with tools such as Microsoft Excel, Access, and Power BI or similar.
  • Exposure to digital marketing, social media, and customer engagement.
  • Strategic thinking with the ability to drive change.
  • Strong communication, training, and presentation skills in Sinhala and English.
