Duties & Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the execution and development of branch business activity plan align with the branch General Insurance business strategies
  • Achieve the set revenue targets for General Insurance businesses of the branch by developing a focused and result oriented sales team
  • Branch Manager will directly report to the respective Regional Manager - General
  • Responsible for overall sales, underwriting, claims and administration functions of the branch
  • Drive the respective branch to meet the required service standards through effective and efficient utilization of human capital and other resources
  • Implement effective promotional campaigns by identifying potentials of the respective branch areas liaise with other stakeholders and monitor the outcome
  • Monitor and evaluate performance of all Group Leaders, Team Leaders, Advisors pertaining to General Insurance businesses on a regular basis and ensure KPI's are met with all subordinates
  • Ensure the manpower requirement of the respective branch and their training & development needs are fulfilled as required
  • Maintain a professional relationship with key business personnel, business organizations, and other government, non-government organizations and insurance intermediaries in the respective area to develop adequate business opportunities
  • Facilitate and ensure smooth functioning of sales and non-sales teams of respective branch
  • Perform market analysis and surveys of competitor business activities, products and its behavior and respond proactively

Qualifications & Pre-requisites

  • Full/part qualification in SLIM/CIM Diploma or industry related qualification.
  • Minimum of 10 years experience in sales with minimum 05 years in supervisory level
  • A self-driven leader with excellent communication skills which includes Sinhala/Tamil & English and a pleasing personality
  • Proven capability of building effective interpersonal relationships
  • Clear and continuous track record in performance
  • Age should be below 50 years
