WE ARE HIRING
SENIOR UNDERWRITER
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assess and analyze client risks across various lines of business
- Evaluate quotations and negotiate terms, premium and coverage conditions
- Review policy wordings and ensure coverage meets client needs
- Providing technical underwriting advice to broking teams and clients
- Support renewals, claims and business development activities
- Maintain strong relationships with insurers and market contacts
- Prepare risk submissions, representations and MIS reports
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards
- Assist in claims and liaise with insurer and client for early settlements
- Sound knowledge and understanding reinsurance and co-insurance
- Keep up to date with market trends, new products and industry changes
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration, economics, risk management or related field
- Minimum 7+ years’ experience in insurance underwriting or broking in a position of Senior Underwriting (Mandatory)
- Strong knowledge of Property, Liability, Marine, Engineering, Health, Guarantee and related classes
- Excellent negotiations, analytical and communication skills
- Proficiency in insurance broking platforms and MS Office
- Good leadership and team management
SALARY: USD 915 - 1,315
SENIOR UNDERWRITER
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Identify and develop new sales opportunities
- Promote and sell insurance products to individual and corporate clients
- Conduct client meetings and needs assessments
- Prepare quotations and policy recommendations
- Maintain strong client relationships and provide after-sales service
- Achieve monthly and annual sales targets
- Keep up to date with market trends and industry regulations
- Prepare annual sales budgets, marketing plans and business development plans and implement them
REQUIREMENTS:
- Professional Qualification from a recognized institution
- Minimum 10+ years’ experience in a recognized insurance company/broker with a proven track record (Essential)
- Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills
- Self-motivated, target-oriented and customer focused
- Proficiency in basic computer applications
- Valid riding licence
