Tropikal Life International (Pvt) Ltd is a leading exporter of Fresh Fruits & Vegetables, Organic Dried Fruits, Coconut and Coconut products such as Desiccated Coconut & Coconut Water, and other produce of Sri Lankan and other Multi origins. We are looking for an experienced and highly organized Senior Executive - Stores to oversee our storage and inventory management operations at our factory at Mabima – Kelaniya.
SENIOR EXECUTIVE - WAREHOUSE MANAGEMENT
Key responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the stores, ensuring efficient management of raw materials, packaging, and finished goods inventory.
- Develop and implement inventory management processes and systems to optimize stock levels, minimize wastage, and avoid stockouts.
- Monitor and maintain accurate records of stock movements, including receipts, issues, and transfers, using inventory management software (ERP systems).
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards and regulatory requirements for the storage and handling of raw materials and finished products.
- Coordinate with the subunits to ensure timely ordering and delivery of materials required for production.
- Conduct regular inventory audits to ensure accuracy and resolve any discrepancies in stock records.
- Ensure proper documentation and traceability of materials, in compliance with internal and external audit requirements.
- Continuously evaluate and improve the processes related to stores and inventory management to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in stores management, inventory control, or logistics, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role within a food processing or manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of inventory management systems and ERP software.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations related to storage and handling of food products
