TECHNICAL OFFICER (CONSTRUCTION)
Location: Colombo / Project Sites – Sri Lanka
Industry: Construction / Infrastructure / Road & Building Projects
GIM General Trading & Construction (Pvt) Ltd is a fast-growing company engaged in construction, infrastructure development, material supply, and engineering projects across Sri Lanka. We are looking for a highly motivated and technically competent Technical Office Engineer to strengthen our construction operations and project coordination.

POSITION
Technical Officer – Construction
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare and review BOQs, estimates, and material take-offs
- Coordinate technical documentation for construction projects
- Prepare shop drawings, method statements, and technical submissions
- Monitor project progress and support site coordination activities
- Assist in planning, scheduling, and project reporting
- Maintain proper documentation related to project execution
- Coordinate with consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and site teams
- Support tender preparation and quantity calculations
- Ensure compliance with engineering standards and project specifications
- Assist in cost control and project tracking activities
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Degree / Diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Technology, Quantity Surveying, or related field
- Minimum 2–5 years of experience in construction or infrastructure projects
- Good knowledge of BOQ preparation, estimation, and technical documentation
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings
- Experience in road, building, or infrastructure projects will be an added advantage
- Strong communication and coordination skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills
SOFTWARE KNOWLEDGE
- AutoCAD
- MS Project / Primavera
- Microsoft Excel & Office Package
- Quantity Estimation Software
- BIM / Revit knowledge will be an added advantage
