Role Overview
As Bartender (Flair), you will create and serve high quality beverages while delivering exceptional guest experiences through professional service and engaging flair bartending techniques. You will maintain bar standards, ensure efficient stock control and responsible alcohol service, and contribute to resort events and promotions while upholding the highest standards of hygiene and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, cocktails, and mocktails in accordance with resort standards.
- Deliver exceptional guest service by welcoming guests, taking orders, and serving beverages.
- Perform flair bartending techniques to create an engaging and memorable guest experience while ensuring safe and efficient service.
- Maintain bar standards, ensure stock control and responsible alcohol service, and contribute to resort events and promotions.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of beverages, cocktail preparation, and current beverage trends.
- Ensure the bar is well stocked, organised, clean, and ready for service, including mise en place and inventory control.
- Accurately record all sales through the POS system and complete end-of-day closing procedures.
- Utilise upselling techniques to maximise beverage revenue.
- Handle guest concerns professionally and promptly report any issues to the supervisor.
- Participate in resort entertainment, promotions, and special events as required.
- Adhere to all hygiene, safety, and responsible alcohol service standards.
Qualifications
- A certificate or diploma in Food & Beverage or Hospitality is an added advantage.
- A minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a bartender in a hotel, resort, or upscale restaurant/bar.
- Sound knowledge of cocktails, mocktails, wines, spirits, beers, and beverage preparation.
- Flair bartending skills or experience in flair performances will be a distinct advantage.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills with a friendly and professional attitude.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high service standards.
- Basic knowledge of inventory control and POS systems.
- Good command of spoken and written English; additional languages are an advantage.
- Well groomed, energetic, and a strong team player with a positive attitude.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and as part of a team.
