SENIOR ENGINEER – INFRASTRUCTURE MANAGEMENT & PROJECTS
Location – TeeJay Lanka PLC – Avissawella
The Job
The Primary job role would mainly consist of being responsible for the engineering and technical disciplines needed to manage infrastructure and related projects. This involves meticulous planning of projects, establish project criteria, coordinate project reviews, ensure the proper implementation of project elements, and effective communication with all stake holders. Should have thorough knowledge and experience in preparing complex BOQs internally and to review and evaluate bids/BOQ’s and invoices submitted by vendors. Experience in managing third party service providers is essential. Further, need to possess good understanding and experience in managing MEP and HVAC services.
The Person
- Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognized university or institute.
- NCT or equivalent qualifications in Quantity Surveying and proficiency in AUTOCAD.
- Minimum 6 years’ experience in the construction and infrastructure field, with at least 4 years managing large-scale civil construction projects.
- Proficient in MS Office applications, SAP ERP, and MS Project for planning, scheduling, and progress monitoring.
- Strong capability in preparing complex BOQs, evaluating quotations/bids, and vendor selection/ recommendation.
- Experience in managing MEP services including HVAC and coordinating multidisciplinary project activities.
- Exposure to industrial infrastructure systems and utilities within manufacturing environments will be an added advantage.
- Strong understanding of industrial EHS standards, statutory compliance requirements, and safe execution practices in highly compliant manufacturing environments.
- Experience in project budgeting, cost control, contractor management, and CAPEX execution.
- Ability to independently manage multiple projects concurrently while ensuring timely completion within approved budgets and quality standards.
- Excellent planning, organizational, communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and accountability.
- Prior experience in large manufacturing facilities or industrial construction environments will be a distinct advantage.
