As part of our 25th Anniversary journey, SLID is expanding its team to strengthen our financial operations. We invite dynamic, detail-oriented professionals to apply for the following positions:

Accounts Assistant - Senior Operations & Compliance

Purpose

Lead the finance function and ensure SLID's financial sustainability, statutory compliance, taxation requirements, and reporting obligations are met.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Management
    • Prepare monthly management accounts.
    • Develop annual budgets and forecasts.
    • Monitor cash flow and working capital.
    • Review income and expenditure against budget.
    • Maintain financial controls and approval processes.
  • Taxation & Compliance
    • Manage VAT compliance and registration requirements.
    • Prepare and submit VAT returns (if applicable).
    • Oversee APIT, EPF, ETF, and other statutory payments.
    • Coordinate annual audits and regulatory reporting.
    • Liaise with auditors, tax consultants, banks, and government authorities.
    • Monitor changes in tax legislation and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • Part qualification in CA, ACCA, or CIMA.
  • Minimum 3 years’ finance experience.
  • Strong accounting and reporting skills.

Accounts Assistant - Junior Accounts, Collections & Revenue

Purpose: Manage day-to-day accounting operations, invoicing, collections, and financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Revenue & Collections
    • Issue membership, sponsorship, training, event, and publication invoices.
    • Follow up on overdue payments.
    • Maintain debtor ageing reports.
    • Manage membership subscription collections.
    • Reconcile payment gateway transactions.
  • Accounts Operations
    • Process supplier payments and expense claims.
    • Maintain accounting records and ledgers.
    • Perform monthly bank reconciliations.
    • Maintain fixed asset and asset registers.
    • Support month-end and year-end accounting processes.

Requirements

  • AAT qualified or part-qualified in CA, ACCA, or CIMA.
  • Minimum 1-2 years’ experience in a finance role.
  • Strong attention to detail and communication skills.

Candidate Profile for both positions:

  • Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Accounting applications, particularly Excel and Quickbooks.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • High standards of integrity, professionalism, confidentiality, and a commitment to accuracy and compliance.
