Senior Manager – Freight Forwarding
We are looking for an experienced and dynamic professional to join our team as Senior Manager – Freight Forwarding. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading freight forwarding operations, ensuring efficient supply chain solutions, managing key stakeholder relationships, and driving operational excellence while maintaining cost effectiveness and service quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the overall freight forwarding operations, including import, export, air freight, sea freight, customs coordination, and related logistics activities.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency, service standards, and cost optimization.
- Manage relationships with shipping lines, airlines, freight agents, customs authorities, and other logistics partners.
- Ensure smooth coordination with internal teams, suppliers, and customers to achieve timely and accurate deliveries.
- Monitor freight costs, negotiate rates, and identify opportunities for savings and process improvements.
- Oversee compliance with international trade regulations, documentation requirements, and company policies.
- Lead, motivate, and develop the freight forwarding team to achieve business objectives.
- Provide strategic insights and recommendations to senior management on logistics trends, risks, and opportunities.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Professional qualifications in logistics/freight forwarding will be an added advantage.
- Minimum 8–10 years of experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or international supply chain operations, with proven managerial experience.
- Outstanding knowledge of freight forwarding documentation and shipping processes, customer documentation requirements, customs clearance procedures, shipping documentation, import/export regulations, and international trade compliance.
- Strong leadership, analytical, problem solving, and decision making skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
