GROUP MANAGER
INTERNAL AUDIT, RISK & CONTROLS
Hunter & Company PLC established in 1911 and quoted on the Colombo Stock Exchange holding a portfolio of leading International brands in home & garden products and industrial & light engineering products have a vacancy for the following position:
Reporting directly to the Chairman, Managing Director and the Audit Committee, the ideal candidate should be objective and be capable of adding value and improving operations by bringing a systematic and disciplined approach to the effectiveness of risk management, control and governance processes. The successful candidate is required to possess a thorough knowledge of accounting procedures, have an understanding of IT systems and controls, and exercise sound judgement.
As the Group Internal Audit Manager, you will perform and control the full audit cycle, including risk management and control management over operational effectiveness, financial reliability and compliance with all applicable laws, determine internal audit scope and develop annual plans, prepare and present reports that reflect internal audit findings, be an objective source of independent advice, maintain open communication with the management and Audit Committee, conduct follow up audits and carry out any other work assigned by the Chairman, Managing Director or the Audit Committee.
You should be a member of a recognized professional Accounting body with minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar capacity. Being a member of the Institute of Internal Auditors and having a CISA qualification will be an added advantage.
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and the ability to work in a computerized environment are essential for this role.
