Assistant Project Manager – MEP

Location: Colombo

The Assistant Project Manager – MEP will support the planning, coordination, and execution of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) works for large-scale construction projects. The role involves working closely with project teams, consultants, and subcontractors to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of MEP works for high-rise building projects.
  • Coordinate daily site activities involving Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing, Drainage, and Fire Protection systems.
  • Ensure MEP installations are carried out according to approved drawings, specifications, project schedules, and quality standards.
  • Liaise with design teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants to ensure smooth project execution and timely completion.
  • Support project progress monitoring, reporting, testing & commissioning, and project handover activities.

Candidate Profile:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in MEP project execution, preferably in high-rise building projects.
  • Strong technical knowledge of Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing, Drainage, and Fire Protection systems.
  • Experience in coordinating with consultants, subcontractors, and multidisciplinary project teams.
  • Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
