For A New Cafe (Restaurant)
We’re opening a new café and are looking for a chef to assist our Head Chef. You will supports kitchen operations by assisting with food preparation, maintaining food quality standards, ensuring cleanliness, and helping the kitchen run efficiently during service periods.
What you will be doing
- Assist with food preparation and cooking according to recipes and café standards.
- Prepare ingredients including cutting, portioning, and organizing supplies.
- Ensure food is prepared and presented consistently.
- Support the Head Chef or kitchen lead during busy service periods.
- Monitor stock levels and notify management regarding shortages.
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment, workstations, and storage areas.
- Follow food safety and hygiene standards.
- Assist with receiving and storing deliveries.
- Help reduce food waste and maintain cost efficiency.
- Perform other kitchen-related duties as required.
Required Qualifications
- Overseas experience is highly preferred and will be an added advantage
- Diploma or certificate in culinary arts or hotel management (preferred)
- Minimum GCE O/L or A/L (high school diploma or equivalent)
- Previous kitchen or food preparation experience preferred.
- Basic understanding of food hygiene and safety practices.
- Ability to work under pressure during peak hours.
- Team-oriented attitude.
- Good time management and attention to detail.
- Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays.
