Waters Edge, a benchmark of Sri Lankan hospitality, is seeking an experienced and results-driven Manager – Procurement to lead and manage the hotel's procurement function, ensuring the timely sourcing and purchasing of food, beverage, engineering, and general operational supplies while maintaining cost efficiency, quality standards, and compliance with organizational policies.

Manager – Procurement
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement procurement strategies in line with organizational policies and operational requirements.
- Manage end-to-end procurement activities, including sourcing, quotation/tender evaluations, negotiations, contract management, and purchase order processing.
- Establish and maintain strategic supplier relationships to ensure quality, cost efficiency, and continuity of supply.
- Monitor market trends, supplier performance, and pricing to identify cost optimization opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies, financial regulations, internal controls, and audit requirements.
- Coordinate with all departments to ensure the timely procurement of goods and services.
- Prepare procurement reports and maintain accurate procurement records, supplier contracts, and documentation.
- Supervise and guide the Assistant Manager – Procurement to ensure efficient procurement operations.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the Director – Finance or the Management in line with the operational requirements of the hotel.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Finance, or a related discipline.
- A professional qualification in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, or a related field will be a distinct advantage.
- Minimum of 05–08 years of proven experience in Procurement, Sourcing, or Supply Chain Management.
- Experience in a large-scale hospitality, FMCG, or service industry environment will be highly desirable.
- Proven experience in supplier negotiation, contract management, and end-to-end procurement lifecycle management.
- Strong knowledge of procurement principles, vendor management, contract administration, cost control, and budgeting.
- Proficiency in procurement systems, ERP platforms, and advanced Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent negotiation, analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills with a high level of integrity and professionalism.
