1. Manager - Garment Technology
Location - Kandy
Key Responsibilities
- Lead technical meetings including Risk Analysis, PP, Handover, Hacking, High-Singh, and Pre-Cutting meetings
- Manage product development, sampling, and ensure on-time sample delivery
- Provide technical solutions, optimize garment construction, and identify SMV-saving opportunities
- Review and approve technical sheets and production-related documents before bulk production
- Support production by resolving technical issues and ensuring FTP, SPCD, Sample OTD, KPIs, and SS targets are achieved
- Oversee sample room operations and coordinate with customers, buying offices, and suppliers on technical matters
- Lead recruitment, performance management, training, and development of the technical team
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Person Specification
- Degree or Diploma in Garment Technology, Textile Engineering, or a related field
- 8–10 years of apparel industry experience, including managerial experience
- Strong knowledge of garment construction, product development, technical documentation, and manufacturing processes
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
2. Senior Executive - Garment Technologist (Technical & Fitting)
Location - Kandy
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate garment fit, construction, pattern accuracy, grading, and workmanship for ladies' wear; men’s underwear and outerwear, ensuring compliance with buyer specifications and quality standards
- Interpret technical packs, measurement charts, construction specifications, and analyze fabric and trim performance to support accurate product development
- Conduct fit sessions, size set approvals, and sample evaluations, providing clear technical guidance and corrective feedback to pattern making and sampling teams
- Collaborate closely with merchandising, sampling, production, and quality assurance teams to resolve technical issues during sampling and bulk production while ensuring on-time delivery
- Support continuous improvement in garment manufacturing processes by applying technical expertise in garment construction, manufacturing machinery, quality standards, and production best practices
Person Specification
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Apparel Technology, Garment Technology, Fashion Technology, or an equivalent professional qualification
- Minimum 5–6 years of hands-on experience in garment technology, including final fit analysis, product development, quality assurance, and garment manufacturing
- Strong technical knowledge of garment construction, pattern making, grading, sewing techniques, garment manufacturing machinery, fabric behavior, and trim performance (stitching capability will be an added advantage)
