ASSISTANT ACCOUNTANT
Location: Parkland Building, Colombo 2
Reports to: Group Financial Controller
Employment Type: Full-time

Cargo Worldwide Lanka (Pvt) Ltd, a subsidiary of PLAC Global Holdings PVT Ltd., is a fast-growing and dynamic logistics solutions provider. We invite applications from suitably qualified, proactive and results-oriented individuals to join our Finance Team as an Assistant Accountant.
The Ideal Candidate Should Possess:
- Part qualification in CA Sri Lanka, CIMA, ACCA or CMA (or a Degree in Accounting/Finance).
- Minimum 2-3 years' experience in a similar capacity in a reputed organization.
- Sound knowledge of financial accounting, reconciliations, statutory compliance and taxation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP/Accounting software.
- Excellent communication skills in English (Fluency).
- Ability to work independently while meeting strict deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts and financial reports.
- Perform bank, debtor, creditor and general ledger reconciliations.
- Assist with statutory payments and tax compliance.
- Support the annual audit process and internal control activities.
- Maintain accurate accounting records and ensure compliance with company policies.
- Undertake any other finance-related duties assigned by the Finance Head/CEO.
