ASSISTANT ACCOUNTANT

Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate bank entries and update cash books on a timely basis.
- Process and reconcile bank transactions, fund transfers, loan transactions, and supplier payments.
- Prepare and maintain journal entries, schedules, and financial records.
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Assist in month-end closing activities and preparation of financial reports.
- Provide accurate financial information and reports to management.
- Monitor and reconcile intercompany transactions and borrowing schedules.
- Coordinate with internal teams regarding financial transactions and account balances.
- Ensure compliance with company financial policies and accounting procedures.
- Manage additional finance and accounting duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications & Experience
- Degree, Diploma, or professional qualification in Accounting or Finance (CASL, CIMA, or equivalent).
- Minimum 5–6 years of experience in accounting or finance functions.
- At least 2 years of experience in a similar capacity.
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems, preferably Microsoft Navision.
- Sound knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
