ASSISTANT BRANCH MANAGER – GALLE BRANCH
You should ideally:
- possess approximately 10 years of relevant experience in Branch Banking
- possess a full / part professional qualifications acceptable to the bank
- be attentive to detail and possess a fair knowledge on branch operations
- have good interpersonal and communication skills
You will be responsible for:
- supporting the Branch Manager in various tasks such as managing temporary excesses, handling non-performing assets (NPAs), and achieving performance targets.
- managing credit operations, including processing loan applications, assessing creditworthiness, ensuring compliance with credit policies, and coordinating with different units involved in credit processing and recovery.
- ensuring compliance with regulatory policies, procedures, and guidelines to mitigate regulatory risks and maintain the branch's reputation.
- assisting the Branch Manager in general administration tasks such as maintenance of facilities, procurement, and staff scheduling.
- maintaining cash holdings within insurance coverage limits, ensuring adequate liquidity while mitigating risks associated with cash handling.
- ensuring excellent customer service by meeting service levels, resolving customer queries and complaints promptly, and supporting front-line staff.
- implementing strategies to improve operational efficiency, streamlining processes, and optimizing resources to achieve cost savings and enhance branch performance.
- supporting staff development initiatives by providing training, coaching, and mentoring to enhance staff skills and productivity.
- collaborating with other departments and stakeholders to address operational challenges, implementing process improvements, and achieving branch objectives.
- preparing regular reports on branch operations, performance metrics, and compliance status for review by senior management.
