Regional Sales Manager

We are looking for a dynamic, results-driven, and commercially focused Regional Sales Manager to lead and expand our sales operations in a selected region in Sri Lanka. The ideal candidate should have solid experience in the FMCG industry, excellent knowledge of the regional market, and the capability to manage distributors, dealers, retail networks, and field sales teams effectively.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated sales professional who can deliver business growth, strengthen customer relationships, improve market coverage, and lead a high performing sales team.
Key Responsibilities
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets for the assigned region.
- Develop and manage distributors, dealers, wholesalers, retailers, and key accounts.
- Lead, coach, motivate, and monitor Sales Executives, Sales Representatives, and Merchandisers.
- Ensure effective route planning, outlet coverage, market penetration, and product availability.
- Monitor competitor activities, pricing movements, promotions, and market trends.
- Improve collection performance and control outstanding payments within company guidelines.
- Execute trade promotions, product launches, merchandising plans, and sales activation activities.
- Prepare regular sales reports, market feedback, and performance updates for management.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, sales procedures, and ethical business practices.
Candidate Profile
- Minimum 5 years' sales experience, preferably in the FMCG industry.
- Previous experience as a Regional Sales Manager or Area Sales Manager will be an added advantage.
- Strong knowledge of regional sales, distributor networks, and retail environment.
- Proven ability to lead field sales teams and deliver results under pressure.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, planning, and problem solving skills.
- Good understanding of sales KPIs, route productivity, collection management, and customer development.
- Possession of a valid driving license is mandatory.
- Willingness to work in any part of Sri Lanka is required.
Language Requirement
- The selected candidate must be able to read, write, and speak English and Sinhala effectively.
