FABRIC SOURCING MERCHANDISER
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate fabric sourcing and ensure timely ordering in line with the critical path.
- Manage lab dips, strike-offs, and fabric approvals with suppliers.
- Prepare purchase orders and monitor fabric deliveries to ensure timely in-house receipt.
- Source fabrics, linings, and special trims to meet development and production needs.
- Coordinate supplier payments with the Finance team to avoid delays in procurement.
- Conduct basic fabric testing, including colour fastness, shrinkage, and GSM.
- Liaise with freight forwarders, courier services, and clearing agents to ensure smooth import processes.
- Track fabric, trim, and accessory shipments from suppliers through to in-house delivery.
- Resolve fabric quality issues, shortages, damage claims, and supplier returns.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Fabric Sourcing Merchandiser with strong procurement background in any of reputed organizations.
- Diploma or Degree in Fashion, Textile Technology, Merchandising, Supply Chain, or a related field.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and outlook email.
