HEAD OF TREASURY

JOB ROLE

  • Develop and execute the organization’s funding and liquidity strategy while ensuring an optimal mix of short-term and long-term financing.
  • Lead treasury operations, cash flow planning, forecasting and working capital management to support business objectives.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with local and international financial institutions to secure funding for corporate and large-scale project requirements.
  • Manage foreign currency exposures and implement effective risk mitigation strategies to safeguard the organization from market volatility.
  • Drive capital structuring initiatives and evaluate financing alternatives to optimize the organization’s financial position.
  • Ensure robust treasury controls, governance, and compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and financial best practices.
  • Spearhead treasury process improvements through automation, digitalization and simplification initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Provide strategic insights through financial analytics, forecasting and reporting to support executive decision-making.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance from a recognized university.
  • Professional qualification such as CA Sri Lanka, CIMA, or ACCA is mandatory.
  • A master’s degree in Finance or CFA Charter holder status will be a distinct advantage.
  • Minimum 7-8 years of experience in Corporate Finance including Treasury, with significant exposure to corporate and project funding.
  • Strong expertise in treasury management, liquidity planning, working capital optimization, and capital structuring.
  • Proven experience in managing foreign currency exposures and treasury risk management.
  • Hands-on experience in ERP Treasury Modules (SAP/Oracle) and Treasury/Payment Platforms.
  • Sound knowledge of process automation, simplification initiatives, and AI-enabled tools within treasury operations.
  • Excellent analytical, forecasting, decision-making and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence senior leadership.
  • Strong communication, negotiation and relationship-building capabilities with financial institutions and business partners.
