Electrician
We are a well-established socks manufacturing company seeking a qualified and experienced Electrician to join our Maintenance Department. The ideal candidate should be capable of maintaining electrical systems and machinery to ensure uninterrupted production operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out preventive and breakdown maintenance of electrical systems and factory machinery.
- Diagnose and repair electrical faults in production machines, motors, control panels, lighting systems, and other equipment.
- Install, test, and commission new electrical equipment and machinery.
- Perform routine inspections to identify potential electrical issues and take corrective action.
- Ensure all electrical work is carried out in compliance with safety regulations and company standards.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and prepare reports as required.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance machine reliability and reduce downtime.
- Coordinate with the Maintenance team and Production Departments to ensure smooth factory operations.
- Attend emergency electrical breakdowns and provide prompt solutions.
- Maintain housekeeping and ensure a safe working environment at all times.
Qualifications:
- NVQ Level 04 in Electrical Installation or an equivalent recognized qualification (Mandatory).
- Minimum of 2–3 years' experience as an Electrician in a manufacturing environment (apparel or textile industry experience will be an added advantage).
- Sound knowledge of industrial electrical systems, motor controls, PLC basics, electrical panels, and troubleshooting.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and wiring diagrams.
- Good knowledge of electrical safety standards and preventive maintenance practices.
- Ability to work independently and under pressure to meet production requirements.
- Willingness to work shifts and attend breakdowns when required.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
