Senior Fabric Technologist
The Job:
We are looking for a skilled professional with strong technical expertise in woven fabrics, synthetic blends, and performance materials, and hands-on experience working with suppliers across China, Korea, Taiwan, Bangladesh, and India. The role involves fabric sourcing, supplier management, fabric development, and ensuring all materials meet global buyer standards
Responsibilities:
- Source woven & synthetic fabrics globally and develop new suppliers.
- Manage costing, MOQs, lead times, and supplier negotiations.
- Lead fabric development and approvals for new styles.
- Evaluate fabric construction, performance, and quality risks.
- Review bulk fabrics, test reports, and ensure compliance with buyer standards.
- Handle quality issues, testing requirements, and root-cause analysis.
Qualifications:
- Degree/Diploma in Textile or Fabric Technology (or related).
- 3+ years experience in fabric technology.
- Strong knowledge of woven fabrics, synthetic fibers, finishing & dyeing.
- Strong negotiation and supplier-handling skills.
- Understanding of garment washing & fabric performance is an advantage.
