EXECUTIVE – ACCOUNTS IMMEDIATE VACANCY
Key Responsibilities;
- Manage day-to-day petty cash fund, including disbursements, IOU handling, voucher verification and timely replenishment.
- Process and record supplier payments and operational expenses payments accurately.
- Verify payment requests against supporting documents prior to processing.
- Prepare and submit petty cash and IOU reconciliation statements on a regular basis.
- Maintain organised filing of payment vouchers, receipts, and supporting documentation.
- Assist in processing accounts payable invoices and monitoring payment schedules.
- Support month-end closing activities including cash counts and reconciliation.
- Liaise with internal departments and external vendors regarding payment queries.
- Comply with internal financial controls and company payment policies.
Candidate Profile;
- Degree in Accounting/Finance or part qualified in ICASL, CMA or AAT from a recognised professional accountancy body.
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a similar accounts or finance role, preferably with exposure to cash handling and payment processing.
- Sound understanding of petty cash management procedures and internal controls.
- Ability to collaborate with auditors and support audit preparatory work.
- Proficiency in MS Office (particularly Excel); experience with Gensoft or similar accounting systems is an added advantage.
- Proficiency in written and spoken English.
- High level of accuracy, integrity, and reliability in handling cash and financial records.
- Experience in the freight forwarding or logistics sector would be an added advantage.
