Account Assistant

Join our team and support the finance department by assisting with daily accounting operations and maintaining accurate financial records.

Qualifications

  • G.C.E. Advanced Level in Commerce or any stream.
  • Part qualification in AAT / CA / CIMA / ACCA or a Certificate / Diploma in Accounting, Finance or a related field will be an added advantage.
  • 0–2 years of experience in accounting or a similar role, preferably in a hospital or corporate environment.
  • Good knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel.
  • Basic knowledge of accounting principles and bookkeeping.
  • Strong numerical, analytical and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work accurately, meet deadlines and maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with invoice processing, payment entries and voucher preparation.
  • Maintain accurate financial records, ledgers and supporting documents.
  • Reconcile cash, bank and supplier statements as required.
  • Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
  • Prepare data for monthly reports and account summaries.
  • Handle filing, data entry and document verification accurately.
  • Coordinate with internal departments regarding billing and payment-related matters.
  • Perform other finance and administrative duties assigned by the supervisor.
