Data Center Operator
THE JOB
- Safely run and monitor End-of-Day (EOD) and End-of-Month (EOM) batch processes across core banking and enterprise applications.
- Execute, verify, and document system backups in strict compliance with disaster recovery and backup policies.
- Perform routine infrastructure maintenance, including staging area cleanup and monitoring the physical data center environment.
- Collaborate with Application Support and IT project teams on testing, administrative tracking, and deployments.
- Maintain activity logs, incident logs, uptime trackers, and assist in drafting SOPs, operational manuals, and compliance reports.
THE PERSON
- Minimum 2-3 years in Data Center Operations, IT Operations, System Monitoring, or a closely related technical support role.
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or an equivalent technical qualification (ITIL/system administration foundations are a plus).
- Familiarity with basic system commands, backup software management, and automated batch-scheduling tools.
- Masterful Microsoft Excel (logging/filtering operational metrics) and Microsoft Word (corporate documentation and record-keeping).
- High dependability and attention to detail for unsupervised night work, adaptability to shift transitions, and clear, accurate shift-handover communication.
